Atomic Speedway Up Next for Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series on Saturday May 10

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (May 7, 2025)—The second event of the 2025 season for the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP will be on Saturday May 10th at Atomic Speedway near Waverly, Ohio. The event will pay $5,000-to-win and $500-to-start the 30-lap main event. This event will honor the mothers for Mother’s Day and also be dubbed Atomic Ladies Night. This will mark the 18th visit from the series to Atomic Speedway.

In addition to the ground-pounding Super Late Models, the Sport Mods, Southern Ohio Legends Cars & the IMCA RaceSaver 305 Sprint Cars will all be in action.

On May 10, the pits will open at 1:00 pm, the grandstand gates will open at 3:00 pm, the driver’s meeting will be at 4:30 pm and hot laps will roll out around 5:00 pm. For tickets or discount tickets, please log on to https://www.myracepass.com/tracks/3176/tickets/1442958 .

After the season-opening event at Attica Raceway Park on May 2, Rusty Schlenk of McClure, Ohio leads the point standings over FloRacing Rookie of the Year points leader Colten Burdette of Parkersburg, W. Va., Ryan Markham of Ashland, Ohio, Todd Brennan of Zanesville, Ohio and Kyle Moore of Mansfield, Ohio. The remainder of the top-10 in the current series points include Dusty Moore, R.J. Conley, Ryan Missler, Levi Yetter & JR Gentry.

The tire rule at Atomic Speedway will be: Fronts & Left Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2 & NLMT 3. Right Rear: NLMT 2, NLMT 3 & NLMT 4. The series entry fee is $50 and tow money is $75 for any car not making the field of 22. For the first two events of the season, the two (2) series feature provisionals will be based off of the final 2024 point standings.
