Chilton Finds 3rd Annual Fall 40 Victory Lane with Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series at Mudlick Valley Raceway
WALLINGFORD, KENTUCKY (October 4, 2025)– The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP and the Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series would co-sanction the 3rd Annual Fall 40 at Mudlick Valley Raceway on Saturday evening and Michael Chilton of Salvisa, KY would lead all but two laps of the event on his way to claiming the $10,000 victory. With Chilton scoring the win, he became the seventeenth different series winner for the 2025 season.
The win for the 39-year-old Chilton would be his first with the series in 2025 and was his 12th Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP career victory. Chilton would drive the Gene and Danny Hatcher owned Longhorn Chassis powered by a Pro Power Race Engine. The winning entry carries sponsorship from Hatcher Auto Sales, Tim Logan Racing, Caton Industrial Painting, and Riverwood Self Storage.
Michael Chilton would take the lead at the start of the 3rd Annual Fall 40 Valvoline A-Main, with Jason Jameson taking the second position on lap two. The first caution of the race waved on lap four when Rob Anderzack and Rod Conley would spin in turn two. Chilton would maintain the lead on the restart, only to see the caution appear before a lap was completed when Josh Rice would make contact with the turn two outside retaining wall and would see his night come to an end. Chilton would continue to hold the race lead after the restart and everyone settled into position, giving chase to the leader. The action would be slowed by the caution once again on lap nineteen when Cody Mahoney would slow in turn two. Chilton once again maintained the lead after the restart, but action would be halted once on lap twenty-four when top-five running Jason Jameson would slow with a flat right-rear tire, which he would get changed and return to action. This restart would see Chilton maintain the lead, with Camaron Marlar now pressuring Chilton for the race lead, with Marlar grabbing the top spot from Chilton on lap twenty-eight, with the pair continuing to battle for the race lead. The final caution of the event would appear on lap thirty when the front duo of Marlar and Chilton would make contact entering turn three, with the result of the contact being a spin by Marlar. This would give the lead back to Chilton, who would not surrender the top position the remainder of the way and score the win. Tenth place starting Rusty Schlenk would finish second, with Colten Burdette finishing third. Jameson would recover from his flat tire to advance back to fourth, while R.J. Conley would complete the top five. The remainder of the top ten finishers would be Seth Daniels, Derek Fisher, Justin Cooper, Cody Mahoney, and 22nd starting Clint Keenan.
In addition, Colten Burdette of Parkersburg, WV was crowned the 2025 Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series presented by Slicker Graphics champion, worth $3,000, and also garnered top honors in the Valvoline Weekend Allstars mini-series, which was worth $5,000.
The next events for the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Late Model Series Fueled by VP will be the 2025 season finale weekend at Atomic Speedway in Waverly, OH for The Night the Stars Come Out.
