Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series Adds Dates at Duck River Raceway Park for 2022 Season

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (December 22, 2021) – The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series had added a pair of series events and will be officiating one other event at Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, TN during the 2022 season for new Duck River Raceway Park track owner Russell Boothe.

The first visit to Duck River Raceway Park will be on Saturday February 12 and the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series/CT Promotions will officiate (non-points) the Super Late Model portion of the track’s Winterfest event, with Super Late Models racing under the rules of the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series for $3,000 to win, but it will not be a points event for the series. Also in action at the Duck River Raceway Park’s Winterfest event on Saturday February 12 will be 604 Late Models ($2,000 to win), 602 Late Models ($1,500 to win), CRUSA Street Stocks ($1,500 to win), Mod 4’s ($1,500 to win), Open Wheel Modifieds ($1,200 to win), Modified Street ($800 to win), Pure Pony ($800 to win), Factory/Pure Stocks ($500 to win), and Dwarf Cars ($400 to win). In the case of inclement weather, the make-up date for the event will be Saturday February 19.

The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series will have two sanctioned points events at Duck River Raceway Park during the 2022 season. The first event will be on Friday August 12 and will pay $5,000 to win and will pair that event with the Governor’s Cup event at Talladega Short Track on Saturday August 13 that pays $10,000 to win.

The other event that the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series will sanction at Duck River Raceway Park in 2022 will be the return of the Deep Fried 75 with the dates set for October 27 through October 29. On Thursday October 27, there will be an open practice for all divisions that will be in action that weekend. On Friday October 28, there will be time trials and heat races for the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series competitors that will see the top four finishers earn money for their efforts (1st-$300, 2nd-$200, 3rd-$150, 4th-$125). The Deep Fried 75 weekend will conclude on Saturday October 29 with B-Mains and the Deep Fried 75 main event that will pay a record to win purse for the event of $20,000 to win. In the case of inclement weather that weekend, a make-up date has been set for November 3 through November 5.

In other series news, Series Promoter Chris Tilley has increased the winner’s amount of the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series because of added events to $15,000 that will go to the 2022 series champion.
