TIRE TESTING RULES BULLETIN
Effective immediately, tire testing procedures will be standardized across all DIRTcar sanctioned Late Model series including but not limited to World of Outlaws Late Models, DIRTcar Summer Nationals, MARS Racing Series, Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series, and Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series and events with any previously listed series along with Eldora’s Dream 100 and World 100.
DIRTcar officials may take a tire sample at any time during an event. The sample will be taken in three parts, as an A, B, and C sample with location of tire samples determined by a series official.
The A sample will be sent to the lab; series officials will retain B and C samples. In the event the A sample does not conform to the benchmark, multiple B samples (matching sample A as well as other B samples) will be sent to the lab, where the lab must match A and B samples to the same tire.
If the B sample yields the same result, the offending team will be notified and given the option to send a representative to the lab to observe the testing of the C sample and the benchmark.
Regardless of the team's decision to have a representative present, the lab will verify that A, B, and C samples do not match the benchmark, all penalties will apply; there will be no option for an appeal. A sample will not be provided to the team. All tire testing will be done through Blue Ridge Race Lab. Additional tire testing details and procedures can be found in the attached document.
