Atomic 100 Weekend Next for Valvoline Iron-Man Late Models and Brucebilt Performance Parts Modifieds at Atomic Speedway June 24, June 25

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (June 21, 2022) – The Valvoline Iron-Man Racing Northern Series will visit Atomic Speedway in Waverly, OH for the Atomic 100 weekend on Friday June 24 and Saturday June 25, with the Friday June 24 portion of the program paying $5,000 to win and $450 to start, while the Saturday June 25 event will pay $10,000 to win and $500 to start. Also, as part of the racing program each evening will be the Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified (UMP) Northern Series, racing for $1,000 to win and $125 to start on Friday June 24, while the open-wheel drivers will race for $1,500 to win and $150 to start on Saturday June 25.

The opening night of the Atomic 100 weekend at Atomic Speedway takes place on Friday June 24 and will feature the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Northern Series in a full program of Practice, E-Z-GO Time Trials, Sunoco Race Fuels Heats, B-Mains, and the 40-lap, $5,000 to win/$450 to start feature event. The Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified (UMP) Northern Series will be in action in a full program of Hot Lap/E-Z-GO Time Trials, Sunoco Race Fuels Heats, B-Mains, and a 20-lap, $1,000 to win/$125 to start feature event. Also in competition at Atomic Speedway on Friday June 24 will be the OVSCA Sprint Cars and Sport Mods. Activities at Atomic Speedway on Friday June 24 will see the pit area open at 2:00 p.m., while the general admission area will open at 4:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:45 p.m., with practice laps set to get underway at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices at Atomic Speedway on Friday June 24 in the general admission area will be $20 for adults, while a pit pass will be $35

The concluding night of the Atomic 100 weekend at Atomic Speedway will be on Saturday June 25 and will feature the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Northern Series in a full program of Practice, E-Z-GO Time Trials, Sunoco Race Fuels Heats, B-Mains, and the 60-lap, $10,000 to win/$500 to start feature event. The Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified (UMP) Northern Series will be in action in a full program of Hot Lap/E-Z-GO Time Trials, Sunoco Race Fuels Heats, B-Mains, and a 20-lap, $1,500 to win/$150 to start feature event. Other divisions in action at Atomic Speedway on Saturday June 25 will be IMCA RaceSaver 305 Sprint Cars and SCDRA Sport Compacts. Activities at Atomic Speedway on Saturday June 25 will see the pit area open at 2:00 p.m., with the general admission area set to open at 3:00 p.m. The drivers meeting will be at 6:45 p.m., with practice laps set to begin at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices at Atomic Speedway on Saturday June 25 in the general admission area will be $25 for adults, while a pit pass will be $35.

The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the events on Friday June 24 and Saturday June 25 and the tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier 1300 anywhere on the car, 1425 as a right-rear option (if the series needs to do a tire rule limiting the number of tires per night it will, but as of now the series will not be limiting the number of tires for the series; NO 29.0 size tires on the left rear; the droop rule will be in effect, along with the new standardized 2022 body rules). The entry fee will be $100 per event and transponders for timing/scoring will be available for rent at the track. Any driver not making the 22-car starting field on Friday June 24 will receive $50 tow money, while any driver not making the 22-car starting field on Saturday June 25 will receive $75 tow money.

The Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified (UMP) Northern Series will sanction the Open Wheel Modified portion of the program both nights and the tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier M30s, M60 (right-rear option only) (grooving and siping of tires are allowed per UMP rulebook; UMP 2022 body rules apply; no limit of tires used per night). The entry fee will be $10 per event so series members and $20 per event for series non-members and transponders for timing/scoring purposes will be available for rent at the track. Any driver not making the 22-car starting field at each event will receive $30 tow money.
