Overnight Rains Force Ponderosa Cancelation, 201 Speedway still a GO for August 2

JUNCTION CITY, KENTUCKY (August 1, 2025)—Officials with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series and the Ultimate Heart of America Super Late Model Series along with Ponderosa Speedway have made the difficult decision to postpone the Red Clay Bash scheduled for Friday August 1 due to heavy overnight rains.

On Thursday Night, nearly two inches of rain fell at the race track forcing officials to postpone the event. With flooded pits and saturated grounds and not enough drying time before race time, officials were forced to make this unfortunate decision. Officials are currently searching for a possible makeup date.

Both series along with the Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series will move to 201 Speedway in Sitka, Ky. on Saturday August 2 for the Third Annual Tim Breeding Memorial paying $5,000-to-win and $500-to-start.
