Chad Finley Blasts Topside to Win with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series at Butler Motor Speedway

QUINCY, MICHIGAN (August 30, 2025)– The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP would made its second and final visit of the 2025 racing season to Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy, MI on Saturday evening and Chad Finley of St. Johns, MI took the lead on lap twenty-two and would lead the rest of the way to score his first career series win and claim the $5,000 victory.

The 33-year-old Finley would score his first career Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP victory and would become the 174th different winner in series history. Finley would drive the Chad Finley Racing owned Rocket Chassis powered by an Andy Durham Race Engine and is sponsored by Auto Value, XLT Engineering, Northside Service, Northside Towing of St. Johns, and Eisler Oil.

Todd Brennan and Rusty Schlenk would go side-by-side for the lead on the opening lap of the Valvoline A-Main event, with Schlenk having a half-car length lead at the line, with Brennan second, followed by Chad Finley, Clint Keenan, and Rod Conley. The top five would remain the same, with Schlenk opening up to an almost four second lead, while seventh place starting Travis Stemler would challenge Conley for fifth and take the position on lap nine. Schlenk would begin to lap slower traffic on lap twelve, however, the caution would wave on lap fourteen when fourth place Keenan would slow on the frontchute and pull pitside and be done for the night. Schlenk would lead the way on the restart, with Brennan, Finley, Stemler, and Conley second through fifth. Finley would take second from Brennan on lap fifteen with a pass exiting turn four on lap fifteen and Stemler would grab third from Brennan one lap later. Finley would begin to charge the topside and close in on Schlenk and Finley would get a good run off turn four and would take the lead from Schlenk exiting turn two on lap twenty-two. Finley would hold maintain a comfortable lead, but Schlenk would make one final charge on lap twenty-eight, but could not get close enough to make a move and Finley would score the win, with Schlenk and Stemler finishing second and third, while Brennan and Conley completed the top five. The remainder of the top ten finishers would be Colin Shipley, Miles Cook II, Drew Smith, Joe Smith, and Scott Boyd, Jr.

The next event for the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Late Model Series Fueled by VP will be on Sunday August 31 at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH for the 17th Annual Baltes Classic presented by Coors Light, with two (2) feature events paying $5,000 to win and $500 to start each main event.
