The win for the 30-year-old Moran would be his first win with the series in 2025, would make him the 16th different series winner in 2025 and would be his seventh career Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP win. Moran’s win would be come behind the wheel of the Double Down Motorsports owned Longhorn Chassis powered by a Clements Race Engine and sponsored by Millwood Plumbing, Lazy-Days RV, C&W Trucking, Big River Steel, CarServiceAuto.com, Smoky Mountain Speedway, Accu-Force Dynos, Red Oak Pub, McHugh Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/RAM, Bomag, Southeastern Equipment, Haulin’ Haskell’s, Lincoln Smith Racing, GE Auto Sales, WME Detailing, VP Racing Fuels, Eibach Springs, and Bilstein Shocks.
Devin Moran would take the lead at the start of the 43rd Annual Jim Dunn Memorial Valvoline A-Main event, followed by Todd Brennan, Tyler Carpenter, Colten Burdette, and Rob Anderzack. Carpenter would grab second from Brennan on lap two, but the first caution would wave on lap three when Jerry Bowersock spun on the backchute. The restart would see Moran remain in the lead, with Carpenter, Brennan, Burdette, and Anderzack second through fifth. Clint Keenan would take fifth from Anderzack on lap four, while Moran continued to lead, with Brennan and Burdette battling for third and Keenan and Devin Shiels battling for fifth. The caution would wave again on lap eight when Tanner McLoughlin would spin in turn two and Rod Conley had no place to go and made heavy contact with McLoughlin, ending Conley’s night. Moran again controlled the restart, followed by Carpenter and Brennan, while Keenan would by Burdette for the fourth spot. Fourteenth starting Seth Daniels would get by Burdette for fifth on lap nine, but the caution would wave again on lap eleven when third place Brennan would slow with a flat left-rear tire. The top five would be Moran, Carpenter, Keenan, Daniels, and Burdette on the restart, only to have the caution appear again two laps later on lap thirteen for Cody Endlich, who would spin in turn two. The front three would remain the same on the restart, with Burdette taking fourth from Daniels. However, Burdette’s night would come to an end just two laps later on lap fifteen when he would slow in turn three and pull off the racing surface, ending his night. Moran would again control the restart, with Carpenter staying right with Moran, followed by Keenan and Daniels, while 18th place starting Ryan Markham would blast his way to fifth past 22nd starting Doug Drown. Moran and Carpenter would scoot away from the field, with Keenan and Daniels settling into a side-by-side battle for third. Moran would encounter heavy lapped traffic by lap twenty-eight, allowing Carpenter to close within less than one-half second behind Moran, as Keenan and Daniels continued to battle for third. Disaster would strike Carpenter on lap thirty-five when his machine would slow in turn three and pull to the infield and be done for the night. Moran would control the action the remainder of the way and score the win, with Keenan and Daniels settling for second and third. Lincoln Smith would finish fourth, while Todd Brennan would recover from his earlier flat tire to finish fifth. The remainder of the top ten finishers would be J.R. Gentry, Eddie Carrier, Jr., Doug Drown, Ryan Markham, and Rusty Schlenk.
