Colten Burdette Captures Battle of the Bluegrass & Valvoline Weekend Allstars Titles
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (October 13, 2025)—On Saturday October 4, third place finishing Colten Burdette of Parkersburg, W.V. collected enough points to claim two mini-tour titles with the Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series presented by Slicker Graphics & Shane Bailey Racing along with the Valvoline Weekend Allstars.
In the Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series, Burdette claimed the $3,000 winner-take-all top prize by 48 markers over Derek Fisher of Olympia, Ky. Burdette became the seventh different champion of the tour. Seven of the nine races were completed with six different winners on the tour. A total of 89 different drivers raced with the series in 2025, and a total of 61 different drivers have won events since 2002.
In the Valvoline Weekend Allstars mini-tour, Colten Burdette claimed the title and the $5,000 check by a very slim three-marker margin over Rusty Schlenk of McClure, Ohio. There were 111 different drivers who raced in the six-race mini-series with five different winners in six events held. A total of 11 races were scheduled but weather canceled five of them.
The 31-year-old Burdette drove the Steve Curtis owned Rocket Chassis powered by an Andy Durham Race Engine which carries sponsorship from Curtis Towing, Advanced Painting, Dimit Accounting, Matt Cochran’s Trucking, Athens Advanced Chiropractic, Westfall Towing, GO Lithium, and Hoosier Tire by Frye.
