Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Adds Ponderosa & Rockcastle to Schedule

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (January 10, 2026)—Officials with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP are pleased to announce the addition of a pair of Bluegrass State events to the 2026 schedule of races.

On Friday July 31, the Jamie Stumph & Joshua Messer-promoted Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky. will host the 19th Annual Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial paying $5,000-to-win and $500-to-start, a 40-lap event. The event honors longtime racer, owner, chassis builder and parts guru known to many as “Junebug”, who will go into the Class of 2026 in March with the South-Central Kentucky Dirt Racing Hall of Fame.

On Saturday August 1, the series will make its first-ever visit to Rockcastle Speedway in Mount Vernon, Ky. for the 7th Annual Tommy Lanham Memorial, a 50-lap $10,000-to-win and $500-to-start event. The event honors former race flagman and official Tommy Lanham who was a friend to many in the sport. The track, under new ownership of Matthew Norman will host the biggest race to date with the addition of the August 1 racing event. Both events will also be co-sanctioned with the Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series presented by Slicker Graphics.

The 2026 season opens on Saturday April 11 at Atomic Speedway in Waverly, Ohio paying $5,000-to-win and $500-to-start.
