Colten Burdette Captures 2025 Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Late Model Series Fueled by VP Championship
SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (November 13, 2025)- The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP has completed its 2025 racing season and after a middle and late season back and forth points between Colten Burdette and Rusty Schlenk, Colten Burdette of Parkersburg, WV would lay claim to the first Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP championship of his driving career.
The 32-year-old Burdette of Parkersburg, WV would again prove that consistency wins titles as he amassed three series wins, seventeen top five finishes (thirteen of those would be top three efforts), and nineteen top ten finishes. Burdette’s three victories would come at Limaland Motorsports Park on June 27, Atomic Speedway on September 20, and Skyline Speedway on September 27. Burdette’s championship winning race entry is owned by Steve Curtis and is a Rocket Chassis that utilized a Mullins Race Engine and Andy Durham Race Engine. Those marketing partners that supported the championship winning effort included Curtis Towing, Advanced Painting, Dimit Accounting, GO Lithium, Matt Cochran’s Trucking, Athens Advanced Chiropractic, Westfall Towing, and Hoosier Tire by Frye. Burdette earned $20,000 for the series title and totaled $56,529 in season earnings with the series. Burdette would also lay claim to the Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series presented by Slicker Graphics title and would earn $3,000 to that championship and the Shane Bailey Racing Rookie of the Year award for the tour. Burdette would also earn $5,000 for his winning the Valvoline Weekend Allstars Championship, $2,500 for his FloRacing Rookie of the Year award, and a $500 MD3 Product Certificate for being the FloRacing Rookie of the Year.
Rusty Schlenk of McClure, OH would finish as the 2025 Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP championship series runner-up. The 39-year-old Schlenk, a six-time and the defending 2024 series champion, would score four series victories, fourteen top five finishes, and eighteen top ten finishes. Schlenk would score wins at Attica Raceway Park on May 2, Montpelier Speedway June 28, Millstream Speedway August 8, and Wayne County Speedway on August 9. Schlenk would drive the Tyler Borck owned Domination Race Car powered by a Clements Race Engine and carried sponsorship from Terry Hendrick Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/RAM, Tom Finch Automotive, Tri-State Pole Barns, Buckeye Concrete Coatings, Landrum Performance Springs, Domination Race Cars, Dominator Race Products, VP Racing Fuels, Willy’s Carb and Dyno Shop, and Velocita USA. Schlenk earned $7,500 in series points fund money and totaled $53,849 in season earnings with the tour. Schlenk also became the all-time winningest driver in series history during the season, currently having 41 career series victories.
The elder statesman of series, veteran Rod Conley of Wheelersburg, OH would finish third in 2025 Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP championship points, after finishing third in tour points in 2024. The 63-year-old Conley would garner one series victory (201 Speedway on August 2) and total six top five finishes and fourteen top ten series finishes. The second-generation Conley’s entry is owned by Conley Motorsports and is a Rocket Chassis powered by Draime Race Engine and carries marketing support from Conley Trucking, After Burner Performance, Poske’s Performance Parts, Conley River Terminal, and Shain Custom Decals. Conley’s efforts will garner him $4,000 in points fund money, with the “Hot Rod” earning $27,635 in season earnings with the series.
Fourth place in the 2025 Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP points would go to Clint Keenan of Pataskala, OH. The 40-year-old Keenan would score his first career series victory at Atomic Speedway on August 23 and would claim five top five finishes and fifteen top ten series feature finishes. Keenan would pilot the C.L. Keenan Concrete, Inc. owned Kryptonite Race Car with a Mullins Race Engine making the power beneath the hood and carried sponsorship from Tony Hunt Trucking, Delille Oxygen, Bilstein Shocks, Devoe Construction, Deco-Crete Supply, Ty Twarog Performance, and M&M Head Service. Keenan will receive $3,000 in point fund money and earned $34,499 in prize money with the tour for the season. Keenan would also receive a $250 MD3 Product Certificate for finishing as the runner-up in the FloRacing Rookie of the Year program.
Completing the top five in 2025 Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP series points is Rob Anderzack of Swanton, OH. Improving on last season’s seventh place series points finish, the 38-year-old Anderzack would finish fifth for 2025. Anderzack would score four top ten series feature finishes, with his best finish being a seventh place effort at Millstream Speedway on August 8. Anderzack would pilot the Anderzack Racing owned Longhorn Chassis powered by a Gressman Powersports Race Engine and carry sponsorship from Available Redi-Mix, Ten Mile Creek Excavating, Tri-County Tire, APC Motorsports, and Dippman Motorsports. Anderzack would earn $2,500 in points fund money and totaled $15,435 in series earnings during the 2025 season.
The 2024 series championship runner-up, Seth Daniels of Jackson, OH, would finish sixth in the final 2025 Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP series points, despite missing about eight weeks of the season after suffering a broken hand. The 26-year-old racer would tally four top five finishes and seven top ten feature finishers with the tour, with his best finish being a third-place effort at Muskingum County Speedway on September 13. Daniels would drive the Jason Wilson owned Rocket Chassis powered by a Rhyne Race Engine and receive sponsorship from Wilson Excavating, Tim Hattle Trucking, Bazell Race Fuels, Montgomery Motorsports, S&D Transport, Reds Rollen Garage, 4 Boys Racing Supply, and FK Rod Ends. Daniels would earn a total of $17,099 in seasons earnings with the series to go along with $1,500 in points fund money.
Second-generation racer Miles Cook II of Wheelersburg, OH would earn seventh place in the final 2025 Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP points. The 20-year-old would compete with a steel block engine against open motor competition and “MC2” would grab a trio of top ten series feature finishes for the season, with his best finish being a seventh place effort at Butler Motor Speedway on August 30. Cook II would drive the LMC Millwright Services owned Rocket Chassis and Swartz Race Car, with both powered by a LaSalle Race Engine. Cook II would have marketing partners in the form of LMC Collision Services, Hall’s NAPA Auto Parts, Conley Trucking, Afterburner Performance, Bazell Oil, and Farmer’s Raceway. Cook II would garner $10,575 in season earnings in addition to earning $1,000 in points fund money.
Jerry Bowersock of Wapakoneta, OH would finish eighth in 2025 Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP points. The 59-year-old Bowersock, who was the 1999 series champion and also earned the 2025 Eldora Speedway DIRTcar Modified track title, would grab a pair of top ten series feature finishes, with his best effort being a seventh-place finish at Montpelier Speedway on June 28. Bowersock would pilot his own Rocket Chassis powered by a Clements Race Engine with sponsorship from T.B. Tile, Truman Quarter Horses, Best Performance, Afterburner Performance, and Howard Johnson’s of Lima, OH. Bowersock tallied $8,574 in season earnings and also gets $1,000 in series points fund money.
Josh Rice of Crittenden, KY would finish ninth in the final Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP points for 2025 in limited series action. The 27-year-old Rice would have success in his limited series starts, scoring three series victories, five top five finishes, and seven top ten series finishes. Rice would see his three wins be at Atomic Speedway on May 10, Butler Motor Speedway on May 24, and Richmond Raceway on August 16. Rice would run a majority of his series events in the Rick Jones owned Rocket Chassis powered by a Vic Hill Race Engine and carried sponsorship from Sunesis Holdings, M.C. Tank Transportation, Glenwood Electric, Air Max Heating and Cooling, Chain Locker, Rice Excavating and Plumbing, Schaeffer’s Oil, Sunoco Race Fuels, Impact RaceGear, RBRGear.com, and Wrap-It Fire Graphics. Rice would compete in the James Rattliff Racing owned Longhorn Chassis with Clement Race Engine power in the final two series events of the season in which he competed and had the above sponsors along with JRR Motor Sales, MGL Auto Sales, Grant Lee Farms, Keltner Contracting, JRR Trucking, The Auto Outlet, and Budda Bert Transmissions. Rice would garner a total of $31,434 in season earning with the tour in limited action.
After an eighth place finish with the series in 2024, R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, OH would finish tenth in the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP points chase for 2025. As the younger brother of Rod Conley at 61-years of age, R.J. Conley would tally one series victory, six top five feature finishes and ten top ten series feature finishes. Conley’s lone series win for the season on May 31 at Muskingum County Speedway. Conley would also earn 2025 Atomic Speedway Super Late Model track championship honors as well. Conley machine is owned by Conley Motorsports and would a Longhorn Chassis powered by a Draime Race Engine and carrying sponsorship from Conley Trucking, After Burner Performance, Poske’s Performance Parts, Conley River Terminal, and Shain Custom Decals. Conley totaled $20,649 in season earnings with the tour for the season.
For the 2025 Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP season, a total of 307 different drivers competed with the tour during the season and the average car count per event would be 33 entries per event, with the high car count being 65 at Eldora Speedway on September 1, while the Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series presented by Slicker Graphics would average 28 entries per event for the min-series. Eighteen drivers would claim victories during the season, with only three repeat winners (Rusty Schlenk-4, Colten Burdette -3, and Josh Rice-3). The top ten drivers in final points would garner thirteen victories over the course of the season. The series is paying out $50,100 to the top ten finishers in tour points for the 2025 season and those ten drivers will receive a total of $8,210 in DIRTcar points fund money, while a total of $783,139 was paid out in nightly prize money over the course of the 2025 racing season. The top ten finishers in 2025 series points earned a total of $276,278 in season earnings.
