Michigan Triple Shot at I-96, Butler & Crystal Awaits Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series May 22-24

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (May 19, 2026)—After five events to kick-off the 30th Anniversary Season, the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP will head to the Wolverine State for three races on May 22, 23 & 24, all paying $10,000-to-win each night.

On Friday, May 22, the series will visit I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Mich. for the 26th-ever visit in series history. The Street Stocks, Compacts & Mini Wedges will join in the action. Jeep VanWormer & Rusty Schlenk lead the all-time winners at I-96 Speedway, both with four victories a piece. The pits open at 4:00 pm on May 22, the grandstands open at 5:00 pm, the drivers meeting is slated for 7:00 pm and hot laps at 7:15 pm. On Saturday, May 23, the tour will roll into Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy, Mich. for the 5th ever visit. The UMP Modifieds, Street Stocks & 4-Cylinders will join in the racing action. The 2025 series winners at Butler Motor Speedway were Josh Rice and Chad Finley. The pits open at 2:00 pm on May 23, the grandstands open at 4:00 pm, the drivers meeting is slated for 5:30 pm and hot laps at 6:00 pm. On Sunday, May 24, the series will visit Crystal Motor Speedway in Crystal, Mich. for the 6th ever tour visit. The IMCA Modifieds & IMCA Stock Cars will also be racing. The defending winner of this event is Tyler Erb. The pits open at 2:00 pm on May 24, the grandstands open at 4:00 pm, the drivers meeting is slated for 6:00 pm and hot laps at 6:30 pm. R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, Ohio leads the current Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series point standings over Colten Burdette, Rod Conley, Seth Daniels, Miles Cook II, Caiden Black, Todd Brennan, Ryan Markham, Kyle Moore & Travis Carr completing the top-10 in the current standings.

The tire rule each night will be as follows: Fronts & Left Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2 & NLMT 3. The right rear is Hoosier NLMT 2, NLMT 3 & NLMT 4. The series follows UMP DIRTcar rules including the Unified Car Construction Rules. The entry fee is $50 each night and $75 tow money goes to any driver not making the field of 22.
